The project aims to detect dental diseases at an early stage based on the retention (fixation) status of teeth. At the onset of a dental disease, oedema forms at the tooth root — even before the patient feels any symptom — causing a measurable change in the tooth's retention. DentProSave measures and analyses this change.
The development delivers an instrument that makes the results of the percussion examination visible, tangible and objective, then collects, analyses and diagnoses the data in a unified system. The product has three main parts: a sampling/data-collection device, tablet software, and a cloud-based, AI-powered server-side analysis.
The method is painless and non-invasive, and can indicate a tooth's disease earlier — even immediately — than traditional digital diagnostics, which typically detect bone damage only months later.
