Professional article published about our development

An article published in the professional section of dental.hu presents one of our in-house developments: a vibroacoustic, non-invasive dental diagnostic device.
The method starts from the observation that conventional imaging often reveals structural damage in a tooth only at an advanced stage. Vibroacoustic examination instead measures how a tooth responds to a gentle mechanical impulse: after excitation, an accelerometer records the vibration response, which is evaluated on the basis of its frequency characteristics rather than amplitude values.
The article also reports measurement results from the development work. In experiments with steel test specimens, damaged samples consistently showed a lower dominant frequency than intact ones — meaning the method is capable of detecting small defects that are invisible to the naked eye.
The portable handheld device contains a three-axis accelerometer and connects wirelessly to the evaluating client application, which is available on Windows, Android and iOS alike.
